Training activities in subsidiaries of foreign multinational companies: Local embeddedness in Germany?

While labour geography notes that subsidiaries of multinational companies (MNCs) exploit workers, studies in vocational education show the international perform and training. Often, latter strand literature relates to cases MNCs from countries with ‘dual’ apprenticeships combine comprehensive training (VET) schools/universities companies. This is how VET practiced Germany, Austria Switzerland. The also explores transfer practices these origin can contribute skilling employees host countries.
